Fire Rated Partitions
Our fire rated partitioning systems are construction from lightweight steel track and stud systems, which are then clad with the required boards for a performance to be achieved. They are typically non-loadbearing but can achieve high levels of fire rating, and can include sound insulation.
We can construct 30 minute fire rated partitions which are suitable for any situation; from dividing up an industrial unit, through to fitting in to a high-end office fit out aesthetic.
Into our partitions we are able to fit fire rated doors, and fire rated vision panels.
Each partitioning system is constructed in a particular way, all according the manufacturers guidelines, in order to achieve its certified fire rating. When the correct products are combined, the end result is a fire-resistant stud partition which is capable of being suitable for either 30 or 60 minutes generally.
Examples where you may need a fire rated wall
- In a warehouse, either dividing up the space for different tenants, or where there is a need to fire separate offices from manufacturing for example.
- In office space, an internal wall can be constructed to achieve 30 minutes in order for it to form a protected corridor for example.
- To form protected corridors for escape routes, or around stairwells.
- Where building regulations create a requirement
